About LaShon Ross
LaShon enjoys a fully-engaged, purposeful life in Plano. Since completing her 28-year municipal career in 2016, she continues to work with multiple organizations as a Professional Development Facilitator and Coach.
LaShon is a graduate of Leadership Plano Class XIX and Leadership North Texas Class 4. She received a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management from Texas A & M – Texarkana and a Master’s Degree in Counseling from Southern Methodist University. Her commitment to a philosophy of service and altruism have translated to LaShon being civically engaged and relationship-oriented throughout her adult life. She has also mastered the ability to separate issues from people, which allows her to objectively focus on the issue-at-hand, regardless of who is involved.
LaShon is mother to an adult daughter and son. Her son and daughter-in-law have a 3-year-old daughter; so, yes, she is also a grandmother with a very personal interest in shaping the very best society for current and future generations.
